Overview

The Rocket City Geospatial Conference 2009 will focus on two themes:

Efficient Infrastructure Management
Spatial Data Infrastructure

We invite presentations on these topics that will address initiatives for both state and local government projects and their impact on the environment, military base management and commercial applications. With today's economic climate and stimulus money supporting projects for new roads, bridges, and other economic development, geospatial technology is at the forefront of helping government and its leaders become better informed to make better decisions.

In addition, the flow of geospatial information between counties and cities, as well as between states in the southeast region must conform to certain standards and specifications. In order to accomplish this a common spatial data infrastructure would serve all involved to support data sharing and cooperation.
